Is er nog behoefte aan zendelingen? 

The church is growing in Africa. Do we still need missionaries? What are the needs in Christianity in Africa? 

In a country where 80% are Christians we expect that Christianity is influencing the society. 

But we see that there is much corruption and a spreading of aids. The effect is that people lose trust in each other. This shows that there is a need to connect Christianity with daily life. 

There is a need for integrity, honesty and trust. 

Next to this we see that if the African church want to reach out to other areas in this world then first of all they need to be financially independent themselves and secondly they need to be able to support people from their church to be sent as missionaries. 

Missionaries can help the local church to grow in these area's

De kerk in Afrika groeit. Hebben we nog zendelingen nodig? Wat is de behoefte van de kerken in Afrika? 

In een land waar 80% Christen zijn verwachten we dat dit invloed heeft op de maatschappij. Maar we zien dat er veel corruptie is en dat aids zich verspreid. het effect is dat mensen elkaar niet meer vertrouwen. Dit laat zien dat er behoefte is om het Christelijk geloof te verbinden met het dagelijks leven. Er is behoefte aan integriteit, eerlijkheid en vertrouwen. 

Daarnaast is het nodig dat de kerk in Afrika financieel zelfstandig wordt zo dat zij daarna ook hun eigen mensen kunnen uitzenden naar andere gebieden en dat zij ook ondersteund kunnen worden. 

Zendelingen kunnen helpen om de lokale kerk te helpen om te groeien op die gebieden.
